Today we hit a baseball card clearance sale in Gadsden then toured a cool knife and Civil War museum at Janney Furnace in Ohatchee. Alabama’s largest Civil War monument for Confederate soldiers. Admission is free. If you go, don’t miss the Rambo First Blood replica knife & a 1966 Case astronaut knife.
This is one of those Roadside America stops that you can hit if you’re near there but you kinda don’t make it a destination.
The museum is packed with a great collection and the docent was full of information. The monument is interesting but really just panels of names.
