This week flew by super fast.  I’m not sure if it’s because I’ve got self imposed projects around the house I want to do or if this is a sign of getting older that days are turning into minutes?

Either way, I am glad it’s the weekend. You are too, right?

Home Depot Free Kids Workshop

Saturday 9 a.m. to noon

Description: Valid at all locations.  Kids will build a free heart box.  They will receive the craft, an apron and certificate.  Call your store to confirm the time.

Locust Fork (Blount County)

Alabama Cup Racing Association White Water Slalom Series

Feb. 7 & Feb. 8

Description:
The Alabama Cup Racing Series is made up by the Locust Fork Invitational, Mulberry Fork Canoe and Kayak Races and Locust Fork Whitewater Classic races. Courses consist of about 25 gates, set on a class Il/lll rapids approximately one hundred yards long. Race courses are spectator friendly with walking trails right beside the courses.

Admission: $3 per day, per person
Times: Events and gates open at 9 a.m. each day

 

Irondale 

2.0 Car, Truck & Bike Meet & Greet at Trio’s Train Stop

Feb. 8 at 2 p.m.

Admission: Free

Description: This is a drive-in event for car, truck and bike owners to display their latest modifications.
