Rainy days have a moral – don’t let them get you down. The rainy day weekends that have plagued Alabama recently have started to get to us. One Sunday the rain was pouring and I said, so what we’ve got to get out of the house. So we headed north just to see how the flow looked at Little River Canyon.
The flow was heavy, spectacular and loud. It was raining but still a fun adventure. While we stood in the rain and watched the water flow, some kayakers started paddling near the upper rim of the falls. The kids got excited heck we did too – are these guys going over?
Sure enough they did and then followed 10 more guys over a certain portion of the falls that lended itself to a gradual 30 foot vertical instead of a straight drop.
