We are always in search of quirky roadside Americana sites.  On our recent trip to Corinth & Shiloh National Historic Sites we took a detour to Savannah, TN to see some quirk a forum I’m a member of had mentioned — a catfish sculpture.

This quirky find can be found at Savannah, TN’s city hall. The steel sculpture is a tribute to Savannah being the Catfish Capital of The World. It features nods to nearby  @shilohnps with the NPS iconic arrowhead logo, a steam boat, cannonballs and of course a large bottom feeder sitting on top! The city hall address 140 Main Street – looking for a place to eat while you’re there? Eat right on the Tennessee River at the famous Hagy’s Catfish Hotel. Their hush puppies are perfection.
